@JustinMac84 @darrenhartland Look, I get it, I'm not discounting the fact that they put in years of work to make their craft as good as it is, that for sure can not be understated, but those same people come after us like we're the problem. We're using technology to do things we otherwise couldn't do like they could, how is that a bad thing? There are new innovations all of the time, we're just using the tools we've been given to make music we enjoy making. For me, its an outlet that I didn't have before, so many musical ideas that I tried to make in the past, but could not because I didn't have the tools, the money, or anything that could help me do it like I can now. So yes, I understand where they are coming from, doesn't mean that they still aren't Anti-AI fucktards.

@LeonianUniverse @darrenhartland I use suno GPT to help wiht the lyrics, and that gpt also gives me taylored prompts for V5, and then I go into the lyric sheet and play about and work on fixing anything that needs fixing, then go through the sheet again and give it another go round, then finally give it to suno. Here's one of my newer ones.

If you invested your life in a craft and then someone could come along and make it much faster than you with possibly higher seeming production values, would you not feel threatened by the people undermining your livelihood? Perhaps not, but that's why some people attack the users as the problem because that perception makes them lash out.

@LeonianUniverse I won't weary everyone with my AI position. I've spent a lot of time doing it and lost enough followers for it and I won't change the world doing it again. If you really want to know where I stand on it, I will tell you, but otherwise I won't bore you. I guess why I chimed in is to encourage understanding from all sides. Insecurity and threat makes people lash out, there are valid points in both camps.

It's hard for some to see their being a positive way if that way makes them feel their effort, creative process, livelihood and voice are under threat from people expending less. I'm not asserting a position by that statement, just saying that both positions are understandable.

@JustinMac84 @beatlesfan1978 @darrenhartland Well, I'm not gonna unfollow you because your against AI, there are people, loved ones in my personal life who don't like AI music, and so I don't share it with them either because I know they won't like it despite the effort I put in to it. Does it make me sad that they won't give it a chance? yes, but do I dwell on it. No. That's the least of my worries tbh in that regard. I guess I can see both sides of the argument, its the same position actual developers have about vibe-coding, and I do sorta understand why they feel threatened, but its still something that I think really should have a middle ground, so yes, I did lash out by calling them anti-AI fucktards, but in a way I guess I can understand where they are coming from.

@darrenhartland If I'm correct, you declare right there in the profile and tracks etc that it's AI music. If mods are gonna have a problem with it, they['ll deal with that. There was no need for that on the part of the other user and I'm sorry it happened.
