Big neighbourhood turnout Wednesday evening at South Granville St & West 10th Ave to remember my friend Simon Murphy, a beloved #homeless binner who made #Vancouver Fairview his home for six years. Attending were his three siblings who were overwhelmed by the response! Over 50 residents showed up - some unhoused and some binners but mostly housed - all with happy stories to share about knowing Simon. Don't think there has ever been anything like it in Vancouver!

Thanks to everyone who showed up - especially Simon's sibling - and kudos to the weather, which cooperated wonderfully. And...

I really miss Simon!
