It has been a while since I posted one of these and I'm still on the hunt for work!
I'm a senior+ level software developer with 20+ YOE, based in Canada, ET.
Most of my work experience has been on the back-end: distributed systems, web applications, services, systems-level projects, infrastructure, etc. I am flexible and can work on a wide range of projects.
I work in several languages: C, C++, Haskell, Javascript, Python. I can handle OCaml, Lisp, C#, F#. I am Rust curious.
I am looking for a team that values reliability, performance, maintainability and correctness; one that is diverse both in its people and its values. I'd prefer to work fully-remote. I like challenging problems!
No crypto, big oil, gambling, ai, web3, ad-tech, or weapons please.
Yes to climate tech, science, oss, transportation, urbanism, legacy software, ai resistance/circumvention/safety, security, game dev, retrocomputing, preservation, up-cycling, indie web, self-hosting, tools, databases, operating systems, compilers... whatever you're working on that delights, entertains, or makes the world a better place.
