I am really trying to promote my music here, but for some reason my reach seems severely limited. By default, I am *only* seeing posts from my follows. I'm on the largest server in the Fediverse, so why does it seem like this is also happening in reverse? (No one but my followers can see MY posts)
@etherdiver do you have any idea what could be going on? Is it because I didn't use this account for a year or so?

Use hashtags, people follow hashtags, find the ones that your people are following & use those ones.
It's all manual here, no algo to assist you.

Does that mean no one else uses those hashtags? I find it hard to believe there are no musical artists that don't use hashtags like #metal or #industrial because they showed up here.
I'm gonna go back and actually add the "#" to the hashtags. I assumed it would automatically add it

When I used those hashtags in the comment above, it made the note "there is nothing here" to the featured hashtags 'metal' and 'industrial' go away, and I guess changed it to show I had used those hashtags one time apiece?
I dunno. I thought the hashtags meant when people put them in a search bar my profile would be in there somewhere

I.. actually have no idea what "there is nothing here" means there, there is a shit ton of posts using the #Metal tag alone. -
