      Please forgive the janky setup. I don't have a tripod, vise, or any other equipment with me, so I was pinning my phone on the nightstand with a book and kneeling on the floor next to it πŸ˜…

              @transcendentempress yeah, you can feel it falling into place as you go, and that tells me to adjust tension or change angles slightly, but largely it's a matter of rapidly going through set patterns.

                  @alice If keeping a grip is difficult, I wonder: are these kinds of locks harder or easier to pick if they were mortised into a door? I'd assume harder as you'd have less ways to feel the lock.
