If you live in the U.S.and don’t already speak Spanish, simply learning to speak some, even just a bit, is now an anti-fascist act.

i will teach you spanish
"i am very embarrassed" -> "estoy muy embarazada"
"i am a great gentleman" -> "soy un gran caballo"
"i am a person who thinks a lot" -> "soy una persona que miente mucho"
trust me
@benroyce @heidilifeldman Kkkkkkkk..... Sorry....kkkkkk... Brazilians do the same trying to speak Spanish. Just try to understand, ok? Respect is allways good. (I loved Your toot....kkkkkkk)

@heidilifeldman excellent idea!! Buy a subscription to duolingo or some other tutorial service....and start speaking it when out shopping, working, etc....simple things, good morning, thank you, etc....oh, can just see maga heads start exploding when everyone, from white to black, start speaking Spanish!!!!

@Perrin42 @benroyce @heidilifeldman Yup.
In my younger days, I spent time travelling round Europe, and before I left the UK, I I made sure I could speak at least the basics in pretty much every European language.
Lets just say that I knew enough French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Greek, Polish, and Russian to get pissed no matter where I was!
It's amazing how much better service is when you make the bare minimum effort!
Now, I would have to add phrases like "Fuck Donald Trump! ", "Fuck ICE!", and "Fuck Nazis!"@stuartb @Perrin42 @benroyce @heidilifeldman
" I would have to add phrases like "Fuck Donald Trump! ", "Fuck ICE!", and "Fuck Nazis!"For Italian, just substitute fuck with Vaffanculo or Fanculo.
The first form is supposedly more offensive because one spend all the time to say the entire word.
The second one is faster, more colloquial. Let say that the first one is best used during a protest, the second one to insult directly. -

I don't know if Duolingo will get me there, but I'm trying. -

@heidilifeldman Would Portuguese do?
@grumpydad Portuguese sounds similar, but is very diferent. "Embaraçada" means feeling something like embaraced. In Spanish means that You are pregnant.
-
@benroyce @heidilifeldman And here I am again wasting my English with a Brazilian.... Happens ALL The time... Kkkkkk

A la puta mierda Donald Trump!
A la puta mierda ICE!
A la puta mierda los nazis!Or
Que se joda Donald Trump!
Que se joda el ICE!
Que se jodan los nazis!You can be a little bit more polite with the second version, but both are adequate.
