      (emphasis on poco while holding up hand to display thumb and forefinger almost but not quite touching, and what little that is now mostly exhausted...)

        @grumpydad @heidilifeldman sure, but if learning another language is too much, maybe settle for using the traditional English spellings.

          @benroyce @heidilifeldman

          The two most important things to say in any language:

          - Thank you. Gracias.
          - Where is the bathroom? Donde esta el baño?

          @Perrin42 @benroyce @heidilifeldman Yup.
          In my younger days, I spent time travelling round Europe, and before I left the UK, I I made sure I could speak at least the basics in pretty much every European language.
          Lets just say that I knew enough French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Greek, Polish, and Russian to get pissed no matter where I was!
          It's amazing how much better service is when you make the bare minimum effort!
          Now, I would have to add phrases like "Fuck Donald Trump! ", "Fuck ICE!", and "Fuck Nazis!"

                For Italian, just substitute fuck with Vaffanculo or Fanculo.
                The first form is supposedly more offensive because one spend all the time to say the entire word.
                The second one is faster, more colloquial. Let say that the first one is best used during a protest, the second one to insult directly.

                        @grumpydad Portuguese sounds similar, but is very diferent. "Embaraçada" means feeling something like embaraced. In Spanish means that You are pregnant.

                            You can be a little bit more polite with the second version, but both are adequate.
