Greetings from Texas and welcome to Mastodon.Not sure if anyone has given you any tips or if you know much about Masto but a good way to get started is to follow some hashtags you're interested in. Go to the search bar and type one in there and there should be a method to follow with whatever app you're using.
Posts from that tag will start populating into your feed.From there comment, say hi, follow some cool people and your feed and community will grow.

@leeen welcome to the Fediverse! Used to dance (recreationally) and kind of miss it. As a lover of Stardew valley, I wonder if you've played the Stardew Valley boardgame, really enjoyed it as a cooperative experience. Bought the videogame because of it but yet to get stuck in.
