Yes, I also want to know: Why Tuesday???As for Friday 13, I've always supposed that the superstition derives from (Christian) religious associations (13 guests at Last Supper, Friday crucifixion)? Hmm.
But Tuesday? I have no guesses

@elaterite #FridayThe13th as an urban legend of bad luck was started by the Knights Templar because of the ambush massacre against them starting in France on Friday the 13th of October, 1307 and quickly spreading across Europe. If you're not a Templar, you can decide it doesn't apply to you.
I've heard Friday the 13th is a great day to fly on airlines because superstitious people aren't flying which means easier to get seats.

@elaterite it is, if you're an orange comic cat. it's Garfield's least favorite day

@elaterite I may have flown on an airline on a Friday the 13th but it wasn’t memorable enough to recall. Though I remember flying on another day that superstitious people avoided because of a movie, 6/6/06. At ABQ, a failed weather radar in the plane’s nose meant deboarding and potential delays. But with so many empty seats, I easily rebooked to another flight about to board and, one-stop (SAN instead of LAX) same-plane, got home to SJC within minutes of the original schedule.

@elaterite @ikluft to be clear, there are no records of Friday the 13th being unlucky until the 1800s. Both the crucifixion and the Knights Templar arrest are excuses given hundreds/thousands of years after.
