      I hate that 'only nationalise it when it's failing' mentality though. Not that it's wrong to nationalise steel on the grounds that it's strategically important to have domestic steel production - but if that's the argument, it's also important to have domestic production of food, medicines, energy, etc - so why not nationalise them ? (Especially energy - which in the UK arguably is in fact failing.)
