@djlink probably needs to ask some AI endpoint if "clicking the start menu open key" means "opening the start menu". Then it has a debate with itself until it times out and falls back to legacy code opening the start menu.

@djlink I literally never use the start menu, it’s been the dumping ground for all of MS’s bad ideas for years. Luckily PowerToys Run is vastly more usable

2026-02 Preview Update (KB5077241) (26200.7922) seems to have fixed this, most of the lag is gone now. Still power-toys run is my best friend now.
