    The reason why Trump is so afraid of Democrats winning the House is because he will no longer have Mike Johnson around to block any investigation of his daily crimes. Today, it's 18 U.S. Code § 600. https://www.cnn.com/2026/03/20/politics/trump-reshapes-a-key-us-house-race-by-offering-a-candidate-and-her-husband-roles-in-his-administration

    The letter of the law is unambiguous. And if Pam Bondi was remotely committed to the law she would be all over this.

      @SeanCasten
      Why is this not even touched on in the article? Come on CNN, pull yout head out of your ass! I'm tired of seeing reports saying Trump does X with no mention of the laws X violates and no one asking DOJ why he can break said law without consequence. They'll back him up because they have no brains or spines, but I want their complicity on record.

        And if you're wondering "how the hell did someone as manifestly incompetent and sycophantic as Pam Bondi get her job?" this is the answer. The Cabinet of Dunces is entirely on the Senate. https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_votes/vote1191/vote_119_1_00033.htm

          Great! After the unAmerican Trump Regime is out of office please work with fellow Democrats for her conviction and imprisonment.

            Also, if you happen to live in CO , you have some interesting options under state reg § 1-45-115 :

            No person shall offer or give any candidate or candidate committee any money or any other thing of value for the purpose of encouraging the withdrawal of the candidate's candidacy, nor shall any candidate offer to withdraw a candidacy in return for money or any other thing of value.

              @SeanCasten Oligarch, its the billionaire oligarchy who bribed congress, the puppet, SCOTUS, DOJ, all of whom should be recalled, jailed, because this idiot didn't get out of jail free on his own. He knew when falling asleep in trial for 454 million settlement, 34 felonies... crimes ignored.

                  @notthatkindofdoctor @SeanCasten CNN is owned by a major corporation controlled by a billionaire too.

                  All the larger media are completely compromised by people who want to see the regime grow in power no matter what the cost to the world they have to live in. Actual reporting isn't allowed at any of them.

                  (That's why the rare few times something meaningful slips past the editors it's nothing short of amazing. But that is very very rare now.)

                    I'll make a bet.

                    The democrats won't do a thing.

                    Because they serve the same masters as the republicans.
