Unless one needs laundering, wire transfers work great as long as both sides have bank accounts with banks that are on the SWIFT network or have liaison with another that is on the network.

Depending on the sender's relationship to their bank, the transfers can be free, or they may require a small service fee. Transfers are always free for the recipient.

@rameshgupta Not in Canada where the recipient pays $17.50CAD. As we are looking at a one or two time small amount this might not work out. Thank you for the suggestion.

I've used WeTransfer, which was fine. Nothing too special.

I've also done the traditional SWIFT bank-to-bank transfers, and that's a nightmare - difficult and expensive.
