    Okay, #linux #gaming nerds...

    - How many of you have your #steamdeck connected to your large screen TV?

    - If so, what are you guys using for #peripherals?

    - do you also occasionally switch to steam's desktop mode for internet shizz? What resolution tweaks have you used to make text more readable on a TV?

    - this is probably also an #htpc question, and probably #FilthyCasual

Cc @gamingonlinux if willing, can u boost for viz?

Apologies in advance for the hashtag spam ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

No Steam Deck. I use a laptop, primarily with a keyboard and mouse. If a game recommends a controller, I plug in a Switch Pro or PlayStation 4 gamepad.

Also I use GOG more than Steam.

        me!

I'm using the official Valve's Steam Deck Dock, with a Steam Controller (old piece of hardware!) and/or Xbox controller. I usually don't switch to desktop mode, but sometimes just to use it for Netflix, lol. 1080p works nicely with my TV.

For what it's worth, I've played #civ6+7 in the steam overlay on my widescreen TV, and it's pretty awesome. I just haven't tried any more immersive games this way. So just looking for folks's experiences with this

@corq I had a 3rd party dock but eventually bought the Valve one. We use Xbox controllers for 4 player games on the TV. I 3d printed an adapter for the dock so I can keep my Dbrand Killswitch case on while docked.

Iโ€™ve used desktop mode for uh. Well, I ran a Fedora container to run mfkey32 on some hotel keys because my managed machine wouldnโ€™t do it. I did it with the controller โ€” I donโ€™t advise that. Also used flatpack to install Minecraft Bedrock Launcher and stuff like that.

@jsalvador @corq @gamingonlinux Yep, I use a Jsaux dock but on the TV I use the Steam Deck mostly in desktop mode to watch streams with adblock.๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Xbox controller works nicely, but I think for most games you need to set the resolution individually or it uses 720p/800p.
