It fuckin breaks my heart to see this. We got our hands on the URL "cooper.com" about a million years ago. I was so proud. My email address was alan@cooper.com. How cool is that?
Then we sold our little consulting company to a big organization. We just escaped with our skin.
Within 4 years not a trace was left of Cooper, a company we put 26 years into. Even the url was abandoned. ABANDONED! They didn't offer it back to me. They didn't even just squat on it to prevent others from taking it. Now it's yours for the low, low price of $1,500,000!

@mralancooper If that domain is valuable it’s a sign of how valuable _your_ effort was to the web. I think you should be very proud of what you accomplished and the generations of learners and critical thinkers you helped inspire.
If you felt like doing it, you could create that kind of saleable value again, because you’re the asset. The winner will always be you and the Cooper coop.
And shame on them for not offering you the domain. SMH.

@mralancooper I've had that happen with domains I've acquired, not used, and not renewed. I was bombarded for years by several tiers of domain brokers offering them back to me at slowly decreasing prices.
However, https://cooper.com is going to be more popular than my assorted odds and ends. Someone may be prepared to pay over the odds for it.

@mralancooper yah, there’s a reason I’m holding on to wndx.com (my domain since 1993). So far no one has gone beyond “how much would you sell it for”, and I tell them how much it’d take.
Someday I might offer it to wndx.org, since they’re at least a charity. And Canadian.
