À propos of uh, nothing in particular, is a community league similar to a homeowners' association?

@philmoscovitch No. It's an Alberta thing and mostly an Edmonton thing? It's actually really awesome and something I desperately miss here. Here's some more information. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edmonton_Federation_of_Community_Leagues

@philmoscovitch Yeah, I hear you. I don't really want to move either. For now, I guess I'm in both places, and we'll see what happens.

@justip Yesterday, I was thinking that a lot of the things people say they want from Bluesky they can actually get from Mastodon, but somehow it is seen as too difficult. But I can see how the potential for instability could give pause.

@philmoscovitch for now, at least, I'm feeling like I want to be both in the Fediverse and on BlueSky? But I definitely don't feel attached to BlueSky as a permanent home in the same way.

@philmoscovitch @justip It’s trading a localized bit of instability for risks to an entire platform (like finding out the platform is secretly funded by crypto). On Mastodon, instability can’t affect the entire platform.
