      @mattdm I kinda think that modern chemical and computational genomics must have left traditional theory-based evolutionary biologists feeling pretty used and abused, and that's left him grasping for a place in the world.

      But also the guy is just a huge dickbag who not only hasn't done anything worthwhile since 1975 but also puts a bad name to everything he gets involved with.
