So my 15 year old mazda minivan finally kicked the bucket. So I just got a new Honda CR-V hybrid.

There's an outrageous amount of compute squeezed into this thing, enough to make me worry.
But there are a few things I appreciate about the design.

-- Operational bus is separate from the infotainment system
-- Knobs and buttons are making a comeback
-- OTA updates are installed when you tell them to be installed, not automatically
-- There's a "disable information sharing" setting that's only overridden by rollover or airbag deployment (it'll still call 911)
-- Blackbox data is stored locally, with a <1 minute history on everything but fault information and basic logs like running time
