Large areas of the US received below normal precipitation over the last 30 days. The percent of normal precipitation map shows the Southeast, Central Plains and parts of the Southwest got 50% or much less of normal precip, while a strip from West Texas to the Great Lakes got ample rainfall.

Temperatures over the last 30 days were 6 degrees or more above normal across almost all of the US. Spring has started out very warm.
