Whenever I walk under the low level bridge I wonder how much life it has left in it.
I'm sure the city has inspectors who are monitoring corrosion rates, but it still looks pretty bad when the coatings are completely disbonded in large sections.

@vga256 I'd heard about the lawsuit and coating failure over a decade ago (it was the hot goss for engineers at the time) I didn't realize they were still battling it out in court.

pretty amazing dedication to blow as much money on lawyers as it would have cost to repaint it ourselves -

pretty amazing dedication to blow as much money on lawyers as it would have cost to repaint it ourselves@vga256 yeah, and in the meantime corrosion from road salt is eating the structural steel away. Which will end up being even more costly than if the city simply re-painted once the problems became apparent in 2013.
