    When people say “why do you atheists don’t just leave religion alone”
    This is why. This and because they try to dictate how others should live our lives. It seeps into government. And no, I will not stop.

      @ichbindabomb
      I’m just blowing out my ass but it strikes me that in all those contexts and more this laying of hands is perhaps to facilitate the passage of magic jujube from the sacred center of whatever event is occurring. Hinduism has a similar thing called Darshan I think. One “takes Darshan” by being in the presence of a holy person or object. But don’t quote me. 😆

        @qurlyjoe what I find funny is that all flavors have some sort of magic thing, some witchery( drinking the blood and eating the flesh? Hello?) but they are always condemning “magic” or ancient native religions

          @ichbindabomb Very convenient to not be worried about wars your country started while you’re half the world away

              A historian friend tells me that they all used to be way more open and acknowledging about sharing and trading in their magics. These days they get all pissy if you call them on it.

                And paraphrasing my all time fave, Hitchens:Religion should be treated with ridicule, hatred and contempt, and I claim that right.

                And Hitchens: “Religion poisons everything.“

                  @ichbindabomb Why don't religions leave atheists alone is my question then, with their endless trying to 'convert' us, make us 'see the light', and so on...

                  😱
