@clickhere @openculture My guess is that because the show is recorded at 4pm, and aired around 11pm (depending on time zone), someone at the network saw it and decided to run a repeat episode instead. Another bad decision at CBS.

@openculture I wonder what are the typical TV viewing figures vs youtube? I feel overall this may get watched more not less even before Streisand visited.
@Niall @openculture It absolutely has already happened. Colbert’s average viewers in 2025 was 2.24 million per night. As I write this the Talarico interview on YouTube already has 3.7 million views. Spectacular backfire and yet another confirmation of the Streisand effect.
