    I can understand the argument that it would be unrealistic to prevent slop cabs from blocking bike lanes.

    My counter argument is that the reason, locally, that we don't automate dispensing tickets for these kinds of infractions is that we can't confirm the driver of the vehicle beyond a reasonable doubt.

    Well... No driver means no problem, right? Set up some cameras and let Waymos fund your city projects. Set up a private right-of-action and let cyclists cash in 🤑

      @cargot_robbie Better yet, Waymo cabs have accurate GPS and are constantly phoning home. They “know” when they’re in a bike lane or committing some other infraction. The city could just mandate that Waymo needs to share that information in real time, so that the cabs rat themselves out and are fined automatically. Cha-ching!

        @cargot_robbie @ronanmcd it’s just another reason to *physically block* cars from being able to enter a bike lane. I bet even a dumbass waymo understands it shouldn’t drive over a 6 inch curb.
