    So many bad takes in the French Venture Capital ecosystem about Quantum Computing in the last few weeks.

    Do not say “company X is more advanced than company Y because they have more qubits”. Not all qubits are equal. The error rates and transformations that can be applied to the qubits vary significantly between implementations.

    A better way to talk about the capabilities of a quantum computer is to refer to quantum volume which does account for those.

      ParityQC established a new record benchmark for running the largest-scale and highest-fidelity experimental implementation of a unitary Quantum Fourier Transform to date. The record was established on the IBM Heron 52 superconducting qubit processor, outperforming the previous record set by IONQ.

      QFT is at the core of Shor's algorithm and also necessary for material science applications of Quantum Computing.
