Isn't it amazing how JJ Abrams is such a hit-or-miss director/producer? He came out strong with Alias. Then he botched the end of Lost by promising it wasn't going to be Purgatory and ignoring the whole Jacob/Man in Black arc. SW Episode VII was actually pretty good, if derivative. IX, while profitable, was a hot mess, ignorant of Star Wars lore, all spectacle. Yet Fringe stuck the landing, and he does well with Star Trek. He really doesn't do 'meh'.

@Lane He is very hit or miss. But the new animated Batman show is amazing. Again he is only producing it though bad robot so not sure how hands on he is with that.

@Lane To be fair to Abrams, he really wasn't involved with Lost beyond the first season (honestly, beyond the pilot). He doesn't really deserve credit or blame for anything beyond that.
Similarly, I don't think he was very involved with Fringe. I'm not sure, though - didn't really watch that one.
