@KarlHeinzHasliP indeed. Regardless of the outcome of the mid terms and the next general election, if Americans want to prevent futher destabilisation, they need a radical swift not only in political sense but society as well. There is nothing to stop a worse version of Trump in future generations.
I would suggest that they start by finding out what the definition of socialism is.

@TheComfortableSpotPodcast it is like we have to consider all of reality living in a capitalist Armageddon (market capture, forced consumerism to monopolies, old wealth propping up the value of oil despite it killing the planet, immense riches used to rape children and get away with it) and everything we learned as children - like all of that including our optimism is a sick, ironic joke, that we will be forced to live and die in, helpless to stop it, even collectively.

And everyone is poorer and struggling. I drive through the suburbs for my job and see endless tiny plots of land with McMansions and nearly no yard, such density passing for the illusion of ownership, independence, and participation in "building wealth" - based on the illusion of endless growth and future scarcity.

Nobody has control over whether or not if they don't pay the full price of an item they simply at best don't get it, and at worse go to prison for tax evasion.
