      Soooooo, the dipshits of BlueSky decided it's time for the last phase of pushing NSFW posters and sex workers out. Just in time for Pride Month.

      It's a tale as old as time... we help them grow their platform, they reap the benefits while shitting on our legitimate concerns.

      Now we are basically almost completely hidden from sight, even our SFW posts🀣

      @harmonycorrupted I've lost count how many sites have done this.

      Did they never hear the song? "The Internet is for Porn"!

      We all love to use it for other shit, but they know that's why people keep coming back πŸ˜†

        @sortius yep! It's honestly devastating how the legitimate criticisms of porn and the prejudices about it are being weaponized to normalize this cycle... and for some reason, despite how common it is, most people are still flabbergasted and act like they had no idea it's a pipeline towards attacking the queer community

          Let me emphasize on the most important part of it: this is a way for fascists to enact their agenda and shut up anyone actively resisting it.

          They start by attacking the "low-hanging fruit" in the form of porn/sex workers, weaponizing the legitimately concerning issues of the industry.

          Bluesky is actually even worse because they have willy-nilly banned a lot of trans and black folks, too, while happily welcoming and protecting transphobes and racists, including the official account for ICE

            They also ban any Palestinians' accounts on sight and are generally hostile to mutual aid (have banned some accounts key to the organizing on the platform).
            Furthermore, there is a massive CSAM issue and reports are not taken seriously.

                @harmonycorrupted any moral panic ends in queer harm. It's just too easy for them, in their eyes.

                Funny how when they boot the queer voices from places the places suddenly become overtly fascist πŸ€”

                  @harmonycorrupted

                  Have been talking for a long while about how Bluesky is a trap. It was set up as parallel shiney corporate alternative to the Fedi to lure all the ex Twitter folks. What you are seeing is them beginning to spring it. As we get closer to the midterm elections expect to see more of what is being perpetrated against the "low hanging fruit" applied more generally.

                      @harmonycorrupted just as Instagram is doing a new wave of purges of the same SWs and/or LGBTQ+ people

                      I got banned for having (checks notes) pictures of tree's, vintage dresses and the occasional bird. I never linked from/to insta for any purpose, not that i even had the chance...
