Yes, I came here to suggest the same thing. Also, I've had great luck with purging various items by simply throwing an open house and letting folks help themselves. I still run into folks who have my books or sporting goods from earlier moves.

Wee Book Inn will usually take them for a bit of cash.

Could also spread a few around any Little Free Libraries in your neighbourhood.

A lot of seniors centres have low-cost books available for members, especially Central Lions.

@KenHemmerling I took a truckload to the Wee Book Inn when we purged. I got $500 in credit for them. What they didn’t take we dropped at Goodwill.
