It is not that surprising, considering hatred is one of the pillar foundation that built the genre decades ago. Sure, black metal has changed much in modern times but these nazi artists still exist in black metal music scene.

Some of these nazi artist call themselves as NSBM artist, Nasionalist Socialist Black Metal.

Summoning recently made it a point to say that antifascist artists have been part of black metal from the beginning, and I think that was rad of them. We ran the nazis out of punk, we can run them out of black metal too. Don't let them have a single thing.

@serigala_tropis - not just true of black metal, but particularly prevalent there. I've spent years running every new band I find through a few Internet searches just-in-case, and it's depressing how often you bring up the Wikipedia page about them and scroll down to see the "controversy" section and it's all about them wearing swastikas or giving nazi salutes. Downsides to being into mostly metal and punk music.
Thankfully there are some really great anti-fascist artists out there for me to enjoy, too!
