@alexisbushnell@toot.wales I use Linux for everything! My wife asked why I was feeding my children Linux and I yelled "BECAUSE IT'S GOOD FOR THEM!"

😊 I totally agree. it does NOT fit EVERY use case. But at what point do we consider "everything" the thing that covers majority of use cases?

But I agree. Use the right tools. 😊

      I'm a pragmatic extremist I guess? 😁

@ozoned concur but I stand by my "it's not the everything OS for non techies" comment.

I'm more techie than the average person but still a non techy person and I really struggled to install Linux even with help from several techy people via Mastodon!

@alexisbushnell@toot.wales That's fair. Have you installed Windows before? I haven't installed it in like 20 years, so I honestly have no clue how easy or difficult that has become. Windows is installed everywhere doesn't need installed though and that is a MASSIVE advantage for Windows.

I think thought what I meant more is that Linux can do everything and can be on every platofmr. Definitely not easy to install though and CLI isn't easy at all. 😁
