    There should be international law stating that politicians should be on the front lines of the wars they’re so eager to start wars & if they’re not capable, their kids should go in their place. It would make them more understanding when others lose their children in senseless wars that they advocate.

      @smlx4 Many years ago I suggested that wars should be fought by the leaders on a chess board. Would completely change elections and wars.

        @dasdom
        When we democratically force our leaders to avoid war, that's what we get. Those night-long negotiation sessions so common in Europe are basically chess instead of war.

        Of course, it only takes one side to flip over the board and draw a gun.

          @smlx4 I want to agree except there's one key issue in your statement.

          Trump also doesn't care about his own kids.

          Their only use to him is in how much they can serve him. I don't even think he remembers Barron *exists* most of the time...

          No, the politicians themselves should have to go to the frontlines. Even if they are old and suffering from crippling bone spurs. Even if there isn't a McDonalds or a golf resort anywhere near to the frontlines.

          I bet there would be a lot fewer wars...

            @nazokiyoubinbou you’re right. They definitely should face their own decisions made from a comfortable place.
            But I guess there’s some benefits for their kids anyway.

                @smlx4 Rank hath privileges. Or richness. Probably Trump just arranged it on principle. He probably sees Barron as being worth something monetarily. Most of his other children ultimately do serve him financially after all. About time to start getting returns on that investment. I guarantee he would feel nothing more than a minor annoyance if Barron died in a war he started.

                Then he'd turn around and take advantage of people treating him as if he feels grief like a human.

                  @nazokiyoubinbou he was born privileged through the wealth he received from his father. But despite that, everything he has touched has turned into trash. He has no principles whatsoever except possibly “making deals” by constantly deceiving people.

                  According to reports, he was close to bankruptcy before the election. He’s quickly earned it through corrupt deals by selling government information & services that go directly into his pockets. 1.5 billion in one year!

                    @smlx4 Yep. Trump is nothing but a malignant narcissist who will sell anything and everything he can get his grubby hands on — including every single person in this country. And including his own family.

                    So yeah, I just want to emphasize that if they were required to send their kids, Trump wouldn't hesitate to keep signing whatever Project 2025 put on his desk and insist it was his idea no matter how many people die.

                    But if he had to go himself, for once he would actually read it...
