@davidgerard was thinking earlier about the peculiar contempt a lot of BlueSky users have for fedi, & I think you've stumbled on one of its roots:
It's much easier to be a main character, there.
Even as every person who wants to be seen as sane will tell you 'being the main character is BAD', in their heart they still want it, & sense that it's harder on Fedi.

Replace 'AI' with 'fascism' and they would be saying the same things. Replace it with 'Nazis' and no surprise, they are saying *exactly* that too. (But don't you dare call them Nazis!)
They love BSky because it platforms and defends bigots, terrorists, and Nazis and is at war with it's own users over it.

@reflex @rootwyrm @davidgerard I know this might sound like a stretch but this is the core of the problem with firefox adding an ai kill switch instead of making all the ai stuff as installable plugins. It's a need to create a political minefield to satisfy identified opportunities without considering the established method for addressing them specifically because that method doesn't allow for coercion, manipulation, and marketing
