      @gooser3000 I had apt-cacher-ng, but only because internet access was slow and expensive (metered). Otherwise no sense IMVHO.

        @gooser3000 I use 'approx' for .deb packages. the setup is weird, but the easier & more frequently blogged-about alternative 'apt-cacher-ng' has a bunch of bugs and isn't really maintained.

            @gooser3000 Most of the gamers can use their Steam library as a "mirror" for other hosts in the same LAN. So kind of… 😉

                @gooser3000 No, but I wish I had - some of my old VMs now can't install any extra packages because the original repos have gone 😢
