So why are so many people of my generation (late stage #boomers) oblivious of mobile device courtesy?

I'm sitting in the waiting area of the tire shop. An old guy (like me), sits down pulls out his iPad and starts a television program for all to hear.

His phone rings. He takes the call on speaker phone and raises his voice to be heard over his television program. Annoyed with his own noise, he seeks a quieter location, walking away from his iPad without pausing it.

His wife is doing fine and will be ready for pick up in forty minutes. Their daughter is still mad at her husband.

@twobraids I've seen younger people do just as much. A person in their thirties on the train a couple of months ago watching stuff on TikTok at full volume. A call comes in, they reply with the speakerphone while still watching TikTok. I have no idea how they understood anything that was being said given the cacophony of TikTok videos, the caller voice and theirs all overlapping.

@twobraids in more urban areas, you can strike out "device".

But in your case, I think the guy was requesting you change his iPad password 🙃
