    Since this misconception came up in conversation on here the other day.

    According to recent data, GenX is actually nearly *twice* as doubtful that we'll be able to retire as Millennials.

    36% of us are like, "Yeah, whatever. Retirement sucks anyway. I just LOVE work. I'm happy to work till I'm dead."

    (This attitude began in our teen years, according to my own memories, mostly to do with predicted Social Security insolvency predictions.)

      @corbden

      I know I'm boned. At least the university where I work has a pension plan, assuming things don't end up going down in flames.

        @cynical13 I spent most of my 401k to survive through my 40s.

          @corbden Suckers! GenX here. I'm taking mine while I can. Of course, I had to get a rare disease that mucked me up but oddly, every time I get my Social Security check I feel like I am beating the Republican war on Social Security. The Medicare statements makes me feel a little dirty, like I need a shower, when I see those huge billing amounts.😂 🤭
