    Cyan And Pink

The early sunlight has yet to touch the ground. Night cold is still gripping the town, and the mountains wait for any warmth.

The promise of daylight is softly touching the clouds, colouring them peach and pink.

    Sunrise at 9am in mid-November, less than 40 km from the Arctic Circle. 66° 08' 55.3" N, 18° 54' 42.1" W in Siglufjörður, north-eastern Iceland.

I'm suffering with hay fever at the moment, so we'll have to agree to disagree! I wish I was back there 😔

@FourT4 @mo Don't wait to book the fare untill it's too hot in Europe, there is already plenty of climate-refugies coming over.
But then, this summer there's the bloody eclipse on 12th of August, looks like we'll have some grotesque traffic problems in the western part of the country. Guess I might as well stick to some gardening in that period... 😎

@mo This winter was a bit strange there in Sigló; first there wasn't enough snow to open the skiing facilities, then just before Easter, they had to use avalanche-probes to find the sheds/cabins and to spend days to dig up the lifts.

Guess we can blame such excesses on climate-changes? 🤔

I already looked at places in Snæfellsnes for the eclipse - massively, eye-wateringly expensive. No thanks!

I expect so. Things are going to get even more unpredictable soon.
That shot was taken in 2021, BTW.

@mo @FourT4 Imagine what will happen on the way from Patreksfjörður to Látrabjarg; a narrow winding gravel road, often on the verge of an abyss - put there some thousands of rental cars in the hands of inexperienced drivers, plus some hundreds of buses with non-local [mostly eastern-european] drivers - what could possibly go wrong?

The police are planning to make this road a one-way only during the eclipse. 🥴
