    Several years ago a cherry plum (prunus cerasifera) made its home in a brushy area of our yard. I cut it free last year to give it room to grow into a tree, and being a very early species it's already pushing out a nice amount of flowers.

      @fedops Yeh I saw my first blossom of the year today; not our tree yet, but still - spring!
