If your cookie dialog doesn’t have a “reject all” button at the top level, or worse, doesn't even have the button at all and makes me uncheck 200 options of “legitimate use” manually, I consider you of highly dubious moral character.

@jamesthomson My understanding of GDPR is that they’re legally required to have the reject all button be top level and the same size as the accept all button. Unfortunately that’s enforced approximately never

@avakining That sucks even more then, I didn't know it was a requirement.

Cookies can give businesses insight into their users’ online activity. Unforunately they are subject to both the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, making compliance difficult.

@jamesthomson unsure that “reject all” unchecks “«legitimate» use” crap and that it affects anything even when unchecked.

@jamesthomson If there is no "reject all" button on the site I mark it and never go back. Simple, if enough of us do it I'll bet money that they start putting it in a more visible place.

@jamesthomson if your site ever uses any cookies that require a cookie dialog, I consider you of highly dubious moral character

@jamesthomson This is why I have used a lot of private browsing to read articles on completely legit sites. I simply click on Accept all, read what I need and close it, hoping the browser won’t leave any trail behind on my device. The only downside is that the tracking will be 100 % enabled on their side, in the logs and maybe some database or they will sell my data to third-parties.
So … no, it’s not ideal. I just find it practical if I absolutely want to visit the website.

@jamesthomson I will also just press back, aggressively, if I have the opinion
