    Here's an odd one for y'all...My Mac Mini (Mid-2010) had #Debian13 & #LMDE installed & was showing bad sectors on it's SSD. I ended up installing #Ubuntu Server on it & now this:

        @capergrrl So @Toxic_Flange said to me:

        SSDs /NVMEs are actually bigger than they report to account for bad or failed “sectors”. also there’s a reason why you can over allocate stuff (i think that’s the term) to account for wear and tear of some sectors.

        So a bad sector is recognized as marked as bad and remapped to another sector within its hardware.
