@bagder to me the first association of Gemini is still the early US rocket program

I think they intentionally named it after the Gemini space program, which was in between Mercury and Apollo on the complexity scale, like the protocol tries to be between Gopher and HTTP -
naming is hard and yes, I too name things like previous projects ...
@bagder "what am i gonna name this little thing that will definitely not be relied on worldwide..."

@bagder Well, I'm sure that the name was suggested by AI and so there was nobody at Google who could come up with a better name, so...

@bagder Don’t get me started on the word “Shortcuts”. Big name space pollution. You have the old school keyboard shortcut like cmd/ctrl-c for cut. Then there’s Apple’s text replacement shortcuts that are like Text Expander’s. Then the branded automation “Shortcut”. It is so hard to search for an “Apple (automation) Shortcut” on the web.

@bagder I'm kinda surprised Google hasn't renamed it yet, or broken or into two confusingly similar products with slightly doesn't purposes
