No wars are fought over sunlight.

The sooner we transition to renewable energy, the sooner they'll stop bombing people for oil.

@Pinchy63 @daycoder @greenpeace Oh, it is. The U.S. regime (to whom I am a dissident) is fine with war crimes. (And has a long history of doing them, but seldom so publicly.)

Maybe we just throw a black cloth over the whole thing so everybody thinks it's night time and just goes to sleep?

The UK was able to phase out their coal industry b/c they Socialized it (ie: the gov't owned all the coal.)

As long as there's money to be made by private industry by a dwindling resource, we will continue to fight wars over them.

It's not unlike how there's more profit in keeping you sick than to heal you completely.

SpaceX plan for 1 million orbiting AI data centers could ruin astronomy, scientists say

SpaceX's plan to launch one million orbiting data centers to space worries astronomers, who say the satellite streaks caused by the proposed constellation would severely impair observations.

Someone here on Masto posted a great article a few weeks ago explaining that every claimed advantage to putting a #DataCenter in space is total bull$#!+.

With solar energy, it's easy to desalinate sea water, to produce water and salt.

No more Iodine-added salt. Seawater naturally contains all minerals we need.
