Who is not watching the Oscars@SnowyCA 25 years ago I lived in Los Angeles. It’s practically a holiday there. The whole city stops for it.
Fast forward to now and I don’t even think I saw one of the films this year. -

Fast forward to now and I don’t even think I saw one of the films this year.@chefraven yup. I lived there a lot longer than 25 years ago and back then it was quite the event, but I wasn't interested.
I am not aware of any of the shows. -
@SnowyCA yeah I guess so I haven't come across it yet! It's getting harder to find new movies at Walmart.

@SnowyCA sorry I was thinking you were asking why they were making another movie. I have no idea why Walmart seems to be cutting back on their movie selections.

@SnowyCA I don't know but I'm not ordering from Amazon so I guess I'm seeing my collecting days come to an end.

@SnowyCA that's where I go but it's rare to find something newly released there! I'm kind of stuck in a limbo where I'm waiting for the newer stuff to get there & to find the older stuff I'm still looking for!

I haven't watched it, but one of my kids loves it. It's a Netflix film, and I don't know that they *ever* release their movies on DVD.

@ElwoodCity @SnowyCA yeah Netflix is bad for that, producing stuff that never makes it to video so you're a stuck subscribing to their service but I'm over that & won't subscribe to Netflix or Amazon anymore which means I'm learning to live without their programming!

@SnowyCA @snacktraces I listen to a CBC podcast most mornings that talks pop culture so I was aware. Not into the broadcast though, Thrilled that Michael B. Jordan won best actor. Just the 6th Black man to do so.

The one I'd like to own is Klaus, an animated take on the Santa Claus origin story. It's glorious, but subscribing is the only way to see it.
