On the ancient Thinkpad I use at the college, some gnome misfeature called tracker-miner-fs spammed syslog 1,591,759 times in the last 4 hours, with the same two errors, according to grep -c. Guessing this explains why the fan is going full blast and my keyboard is starting to get uncomfortably warm. Surprisingly little on the web about how to kill it with fire.
