There's been this thing happening recently, where I'll have Karvinen on my lap and then Pörri settles between my arms, against my chest and on my left forearm. It's adorable, terrible for my typing posture, and nearly impossible to take photos of. Then Pörri will just randomly look back up at me, and I have to pause to exchange face nuzzles with him.

As per the post above... He'll just flop down onto my arm as soon as I sit down. Where could he possibly be getting the idea that this is something I approve of?
Experiments in getting little clips off the new phone, interfered with in Linux, and onto the internet continue. Let's see if this works!

I did it, @sindarina, I did it!
There's a button in the export dialogue that lets you disable audio without me having to do anything to it, and the file sizes are so small with my export settings! So small! This fucking clip is 20 seconds long and it's pretty much the same size as a GIF from old potato phone!

There's a button in the export dialogue that lets you disable audio without me having to do anything to it, and the file sizes are so small with my export settings! So small! This fucking clip is 20 seconds long and it's pretty much the same size as a GIF from old potato phone! Beautiful(Okay the preview on timeline might be a bit borked, but that might be my export settings as opposed to the whole uploading an mp4 sans audio and it becoming a GIF thing. Or just my browser, because it looked normal a second ago? Ah well. The ways of video are mysterious, I studied this and am still a bit mystified!)

@sinituulia If you're referring to the fact that it cuts off the top and bottom, that's just the default Mastodon preview, has nothing to do with your export settings or anything like that
As far as I can tell, everything ticks the boxes required for it to be considered 'GIF'
