Da quando Sal Da Vinci ha vinto il Festival di Sanremo, sui social è tutto un rimbalzare di vecchi video che lo riguardano, soprattutto perché la sua storia, per molti, è ancora piuttosto sconosciuta. Tra questi ce n’è uno che risale al 1995. Sal a quei tempi ha 25 anni ed è ospite a Non è la Rai. Ambra lo intervista brevemente prima che lui inizi a cantare, e a colpire è il siparietto tra i due, in cui l’artista sembra fare il cascamorto con la padrona di casa.

“Com’è cantare dal vivo” gli domanda Ambra. Ma Sal è assorto nei propri pensieri: “Sei bellissima, sono stato invaso” risponde. “Che cosa avevi detto? Non ho capito niente, guardavo solo te“. Angiolini sorride imbarazzata, e in sottofondo si sentono le altre ragazze ridere divertite. Ambra riprende la situazione in mano e va avanti: “Noi siamo delle ragazze playback, capito? È così, è inutile dire bugie. Qui cantiamo in playback. Tu invece canti dal vivo. Com’è cantare dal vivo?”. A quel punto Da Vinci torna in sé: “A cantare dal vivo cambiano le emozioni, ti vengono fuori delle cose che magari in plaback sono lì registate e quelle sono, invece cantare dal vivo è iportante, è bello, è più stimolante”. Malgrado la giovane età, a quei tempo il cantante era gà sposato da 3 anni con Paola Pugliese ed erano genitori di Francesco, nato nel 1993.

Sal was 25 at the time and a guest on “Non è la Rai” (It’s Not the Rai). Ambra briefly interviews him before he begins to sing, and the surprising moment is the exchange between the two, in which the artist appears to be making a fool of himself with the host.

“How is it to sing live?” Ambra asks. But Sal is lost in his thoughts: “You’re beautiful, I was overwhelmed,” he responds. “What did you say? I didn’t understand anything, I was only looking at you.” Angiolini smiles embarrassed, and the other girls can be heard laughing in the background. Ambra takes control of the situation and continues: “We are girls who use playback, understood? That’s how it is, it’s useless to tell lies. Here we sing with playback. You, on the other hand, sing live. How is it to sing live?” At that point, Da Vinci comes to his senses: “Singing live changes the emotions, you get out things that maybe in playback are recorded and those are, instead singing live is important, it’s beautiful, it’s more stimulating.” Despite his young age, at that time the singer was already married for 3 years to Paola Pugliese and they were parents to Francesco, born in 1993.
