You might notice that I don’t really talk about current events all that often. Some might interpret that as me sticking my head in the sand, being ignorant, or being uncaring and complicit.
None of those are actually true. I’m aware of what’s going on in the world, but I don’t have anything to add to the discourse on it. Instead I try to focus on bringing joy and positivity to the world - so I post stupid dad jokes and project updates. 1/2
I do this because I want there to be more positive content for people to consume. There’s plenty of negative crap floating around - the regime has made sure of that - and a dearth of positivity.
Doing my part to try to even it out a bit.

I support your strategy! Just remember that nobody "produces content for other to consume" but we share ideas, crafts, arts, jokes, opinions, etc. We're all more than just "content creators"!

But I just want you to know your hopeful and positive and informative toots ARE a joy to see in the timeline. And they help! I know they've helped me, during the last few challenging months.
What you're describing, it isn't you absenting yourself from the resistance to fascism. It's another (extremely important) means of resisting fascism.
It is a way of being here that I've tried to do, too. Centering joy and support. Don't let any aspect of this toxic society fool you into thinking it's second-best.
