#adhd #stigmataAreStupid@adhd_coffee Frankly, this shit's fucking cute to me when neurotypicals say this. We don't say people who take medication for blood pressure are dependant on their medication because they'll have a stroke if they don't take it. And while it fucking sucks not having meds, the lack of meds isn't what kills us, it's often the untreated symptoms of ADHD. (I don't recall the exact numbers, but having untreated ADHD literally takes something like 5-10 years off your life expectancy)
idk, most of this "dependency" shit reads like projection of what the meds typically do to neurotypical people when they abuse them.
