I watched the launch with my breath held. I watched Challenger live…
I didn’t realize how much faith I’d lost in the ability of any organization to do anything big in the modern age. NASA pulled off the launch; here’s hoping the rest goes well.

#Artemis carries a huge weight of expectations & history – and even though this is essentially a test flight, our (society) & #NASA’s tolerance for crew loss or injury is substantially lower now for a whole range of very good reasons
we absolutely should #BoldlyGo, but we should also #SafelyGo as far as practical
