So, I got falsely banned on YouTube due to having a loli avatar on my profile. Like there is no sexual stuff in the profile.
I had appealed to YouTube moderation and I got rejected without a proof of the claim that they stated

#fediverse #community@Sophie Same avatar in your fediverse profile?
The avatar itself isn't ban worthy, but if youtube is running AI scanning and matched it to the content in question I can see the ban happening.
I'm not going to ask you to explain why you have loli content, because that's not a fight/argument I want to get into on the fediverse today.
You should consider therapy.

@WestFox35@wcgw.cafe no different one. I had an old account back from 2020 and just recently notified that I got banned

@Sophie Ah. So yeah, youtube likely scanned the content with AI and matched it to your avatar.

@WestFox35@wcgw.cafe i feel youtube will be using AI for moderating and we all know that AI is bad

@Sophie I mean to be fair, it could have been something else. Maybe they matched it to a known hash that triggered the system.
But if you personally cropped the picture in a screenshot, I'd say it was an AI doing the scanning since it wouldn't be in any known database, iirc.
Or someone reported it, who knows.
