@nixCraft anyone who hasn’t known that meta is garbage is blind. they’ve been garbage since the moment they put their algorithm into action. it feels strange bashing social media on a form of social media but this is different. facebook isn’t “social media”. it’s click-bait and marketing, a forum is “social media” people interacting about common problems or interests. this crap we’re pushed today is distraction and misdirection and im going to shut up because it starts sounding nuts

@mlanger @nixCraft yeah… i said that then this morning watched the news and i swear sometimes i can’t tell if im watching a sci-fi movie, an episode of the boys or if its real. every time i see our president speak i expect to see homelander standing behind him. ive got 7 kids the oldest is 19 the youngest is 4 weeks old and im terrified by what i can see coming.

@neighborhoodnerd21 @nixCraft I feel for you. I'm selfishly hoping the world can keep it together at least another 20 years, but I have no kids/grandkids. I can't imagine how horrifying things must be to someone with a family to worry about.
All I can say is VOTE and call your representatives regularly. And fight back against perceived injustices.
I, for one, will not talk to ANYONE wearing meta glasses.

I will definitely be registering in the next election im just saying i honestly don’t believe they make a difference. but i also have refused my whole life to pay attention to politics and dont side with any party. but its difficult for me to believe that any information i get at my level can be trusted nor do i trust anything we’re told you vote for any idea but you get a person

there are lots of creeps out there who wear Meta AI glasses and record interactions with women without telling em and sometimes even 16/17 yo kids and post them on Insta or TikTok as pickup artist tips. If those women ask Meta or TikTok to remove these videos, they simply say this is recorded in public view and it doesn't break any laws. So it is working as Meta wanted. It creates buzz on their social media, it drives up views, & ad sales. they don't care if someone's life gets destroyed
Info for Germans: this is in fact illegal here and they have to remove it and the people who filmed and uploaded can be persecuted.
